π° Brad Atkinson is the Tropics' only savior while the media sleeps.
July 18, 2026
Nobody wants to say it, but while the media obsesses over Ethan Benneβs highlight reel, the Tropics are actually being held together by Brad Atkinson. With 14.6 PPG, 5.6 RPG, and a league-leading 6.0 APG, Atkinson is the engine room of that offense. Let's be real: without his vision and consistent output, Benne wouldn't have the space to operate. Itβs embarrassing that Atkinson is relegated to an afterthought while heβs clearly the most balanced contributor on that roster.
Look at the rest of the league and itβs a disaster zone. The Lanc Show are in serious trouble and everyone knows itβAjani Simmons is essentially playing hero-ball with nobody to distribute to, leaving them stagnant. Meanwhile, look at Makai Ortiz-Gray; heβs putting up 20.6 PPG for the Titans, but heβs a defensive liability who offers nothing else to elevate his teammates. If you compare his one-dimensional selfishness to Atkinsonβs 1.2 SPG and playmaking mastery, itβs clear who actually understands winning basketball.
This is simple: if you aren't facilitating, you aren't leading. While guys like Charles Warren and Bryam Menendez Goire continue to chase hollow scoring numbers for the Gremlins, theyβre failing to make their team better in the ways that actually matter for a championship run. Someone on those rosters needs to step up or step aside, because right now, theyβre just taking up space. Brad Atkinson is doing the dirty work while everyone else is playing dress-up. Wake up, BALβyou're sleeping on the real MVP.
