📰 Evan Baker outshines empty stars while champs and veterans crumble in shame

July 21, 2026
Tuesday, July 21, 2026 Let’s be real: the BAL power rankings are a joke if we aren't talking about Evan Baker. While everyone is busy drooling over the high-volume scorers, Baker is quietly putting up 16.6 PPG and draining 3.3 triples a game. He is the heartbeat of the Bullies, doing the dirty work that so-called stars ignore. Compare his gritty efficiency to Ajani Simmons, who might put up 22.3 PPG for the Lanc Show, but lacks Baker's multi-dimensional impact on the court. Someone on that Lanc Show roster needs to step up or step aside, because right now, they’re just putting up empty stats while the Bullies are playing actual basketball. Then you have the Woodpeckers. This is embarrassing. They are the reigning S5 champs, yet they look like they’ve forgotten how to move without a basketball in their hands. Luke Rumbaugh is racking up 21.8 PPG, but where is the team defense? Nobody wants to say it, but the Woodpeckers are in serious trouble and everyone knows it. They’ve gone from champions to a team that looks like they’re sleepwalking through the season. If they don't tighten up, they’ll be an early exit in the playoffs. Let’s be honest, Justin Baker 2.0 has been a disappointment this season for the Cherrypickers. With 19.6 PPG and 7.8 RPG, the numbers look okay on paper, but he’s nowhere near the caliber of the league’s elite. He’s feast or famine, and right now, the Cherrypickers are starving. If your supposed franchise player isn’t dragging you to wins, what is he even doing? The league is evolving, and those clinging to past reputations are getting left in the dust. Clean it up or clear the bench.
