📰 Ajani Simmons is the BAL MVP and Ortiz-Gray is a fraud
July 28, 2026
Nobody wants to say it, but we are all watching the greatest season in BAL history unfold and acting like it’s just business as usual. While you fanboys drool over Ty Burton’s volume scoring, you’re completely ignoring the brilliance of Ajani Simmons. Averaging 22.3 PPG and 4.9 APG while draining 3.7 threes per game, Simmons is playing a brand of basketball that makes the rest of the league look like they’re stuck in the mud. He is the engine of the Lanc Show, and his impact on both ends—including 1.1 steals—is the most complete package in this league.
Let’s be real: compared to Makai Ortiz-Gray, who is putting up numbers without half the playmaking, Simmons is a basketball savant. Ortiz-Gray gives you 23.1 points but contributes almost nothing else. This is embarrassing for a supposed star. And while we’re handing out doses of reality, Jared Kumah has been a total disappointment this season. Sure, he grabs rebounds, but his lack of offensive versatility makes the Bullies an absolute liability. The Bullies are in serious trouble and everyone knows it; they’re wasting roster spots on one-dimensional players while guys like Simmons are actually elevating their squads.
Someone on the Titans needs to step up or step aside because they are barely clinging to relevance while Simmons is lapping the field in efficiency and floor generalship. If you aren’t putting Ajani Simmons in the MVP conversation, you don’t understand basketball—or you’re just afraid to admit he’s better than your favorite player. The Lanc Show has a certified superstar, and it’s about time the rest of the BAL stops pretending he’s just another guy on the stat sheet. Get it through your heads: Simmons is the best show in town.
