📰 Eli Washington is the BAL’s only complete star among fraudulent peers
August 4, 2026
Let’s be real: Eli Washington is the heartbeat of the Dragons, and if you aren’t crowning him as the most complete player in the BAL, you’re just watching the games with your eyes closed. While everyone fawns over stat-padding scorers, Washington is putting up a balanced 20.0 PPG, 5.8 APG, and 2.2 SPG. He’s facilitating, he’s defending, and he’s hitting 3.0 triples a night. Compare that to Makai Ortiz-Gray, who is putting up empty points for a Titans squad that is in serious trouble, and the gap in basketball IQ is laughable.
Nobody wants to say it, but the power rankings are a bloodbath right now. The Dragons hold the top spot because Washington dictates the tempo, while the bottom of the league is a dumpster fire. Let’s be honest, Jeffrey Espinal has been a disappointment this season; despite averaging 20.0 PPG, he provides zero secondary production for the 8 Balls, who look like they’ve never met on a court before. This is embarrassing for a franchise with those expectations.
Meanwhile, look at the Cherrypickers. Justin Baker 2.0 is playing hard, but he’s carrying a roster that is basically a graveyard of ambition. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside because they are wasting talent. If you aren’t producing wins with the stats these guys are putting up, it’s time to stop making excuses. If you aren’t the Dragons, you’re just playing for second place—or worse, playing for nothing. Pack it up, because the rest of you are barely making the highlight reel.
