While everyone obsesses over the empty-calorie stat-padding of Ty Burton’s 35.5 PPG, Devin is quietly putting up a versatile 16.6 PPG, 8.8 RPG, and 5.4 APG. Nobody wants to say it, but Devin does more to facilitate winning basketball than Makai Ortiz-Gray ever will. If you’re building a team to actually hoist a trophy rather than just pad a box score, you take Devin over Makai every single day of the week. Let’s be honest, Jared Kumah has been a disappointment this season. Sure, he’s grabbing 11.0 rebounds, but his complete inability to contribute as a playmaker compared to Devin’s 5.4 APG makes the Bullies a one-dimensional wreck. The Bullies are in serious trouble and everyone knows it; they’re playing archaic basketball in a modern league. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside before they become the laughingstock of the playoffs. Here is my bold prediction: Devin Atkinson will finish the season with more total win shares than any other player in the top ten scoring list. If I’m wrong, I’ll eat my words, but this is embarrassing for the high-volume shooters who fold when the defense locks in.
