📰 Makai Ortiz-Gray is a fraud and the Titans are BAL losers

August 16, 2026
Let’s be real: the Titans are a team masquerading as contenders, and Makai Ortiz-Gray is the poster boy for this mirage. While his 25.5 PPG looks flashy on a stat sheet, it’s empty calories. If you aren't grabbing rebounds (2.0 RPG) or facilitating for others (1.8 APG), you’re just playing hero ball. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside because, currently, the Titans are in serious trouble and everyone knows it. Let's look at the cold, hard truth: Ty Burton is lapping the field with 35.5 PPG. Makai claims to be an elite scorer, but compared to Burton’s efficiency and all-around impact, Ortiz-Gray is barely a consolation prize. Even Ajani Simmons, with his 4.9 APG, provides actual value to his squad that Makai simply cannot replicate. Nobody wants to say it, but Ortiz-Gray is the most overrated "star" in the BAL. He’s a volume shooter on a sinking ship, and by the end of the season, this take will either be prophetic or look like absolute madness. Let’s be honest, Luke Rumbaugh has been a disappointment this season compared to his potential, but at least he contributes to the glass. Makai is allergic to the paint, and that defensive liability will bury them in the playoffs. If the Titans don’t bench the ego and start playing team ball, they aren't sniffing another championship. I’m calling it now: The Titans will suffer a first-round exit, and Makai’s empty stats will be the primary reason why. Mark this column; I’m planting my flag on this disaster right now.
