📰 Eli Washington Is the BAL MVP While Scoring Stars Are Selfish Frauds
August 21, 2026
Nobody wants to say it, but Eli Washington is the most valuable player in the BAL, and the rest of you are just chasing empty calories. While the league drools over Ty Burton’s 35.5 PPG, let’s be real: Burton is a highlight-reel seeker, not a winner. Washington is the engine of the Dragons, playing a complete game that makes the likes of Jeffrey Espinal look like nothing more than glorified practice dummies. If you want a player who actually impacts winning, you take Washington’s 5.8 APG and 2.2 SPG over anyone else’s selfish shot-jacking.
This is embarrassing for the other "stars" in this league. Look at Justin Baker 2.0; he’s supposed to be an elite floor general for the Cherrypickers, yet he trails Washington in assists and plays at a pace that keeps his team irrelevant. The Cherrypickers are in serious trouble and everyone knows it—they have the stats, but they don't have the poise. Washington isn't just scoring 20.0 PPG; he’s defending, he’s distributing, and he’s hitting 3.0 triples per game. He’s the swiss-army knife in a league full of butter knives.
Let’s be honest, Makai Ortiz-Gray has been a disappointment this season. With a pathetic 1.8 APG, he’s a black hole who refuses to involve his teammates, making his 25.5 PPG look like stat-padding at its finest. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside, because comparing his selfish play to Washington’s well-rounded dominance is an insult to the sport. Washington plays the game the right way, and until you realize that assists and steals define a champion more than raw scoring, you’ll stay at the bottom of the standings where you belong.
