Nobody wants to say it, but the Cherrypickers are a ticking time bomb. While everyone fawns over Justin Baker 2.0’s stat-stuffing, let’s be real about the weak link: Jordan Tyson. With a pedestrian 12.2 PPG and a measly 2.2 APG, Tyson is nothing more than a defensive specialist masquerading as a contributor. You can brag about his 2.2 SPG all you want, but when the playoffs hit and the game slows down, you need elite scoring, not just someone who lurks in the passing lanes. This is embarrassing.
Let’s look at the competition. Ty Burton is putting up a staggering 35.5 PPG for the Gremlins, and even Jared Kumah is a double-double machine averaging 11.0 RPG for the Bullies. Compare those impact players to Tyson, who disappears the second the ball is in his hands on the offensive end. If the Cherrypickers are relying on a guy who can’t crack 13 points to lead them deep into the bracket, they’re delusional.
The Cherrypickers are in serious trouble and everyone knows it. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside before they become the most pathetic first-round exit in BAL history. You can’t win a ring on steals alone, and come playoff time, Jordan Tyson is going to be the reason his team watches the final rounds from the couch. It’s time to stop pretending this team is a contender; they’re just waiting for their inevitable collapse.
