π° Ethan Benne is the only real player while BAL stars are frauds
September 3, 2026
Letβs be real: Ethan Benne is the only reason the Tropics aren't a laughingstock. Averaging 30.4 points and 9.7 rebounds, Benne is doing the heavy lifting that other so-called "stars" are too lazy to attempt. Compare his grit to Ty Burton, who sits at the top of the scoring list with 30.6 PPG but provides almost nothing on the glass. Burton is a stat-padding perimeter shooter, but Benne is a complete basketball player. If youβre taking Burton over Benne to win a game, you simply donβt understand the sport.
Nobody wants to say it, but the Titans are in serious trouble and everyone knows it. Makai Ortiz-Gray is putting up 23.1 PPG, but itβs the definition of empty calories. Heβs putting up shots while his team remains irrelevant. Compare that to the intensity Benne brings every single night; itβs embarrassing. Someone on that Titans roster needs to step up or step aside, because right now, theyβre just wasting everyoneβs time.
Here is my bold prediction: The Tropics will carry Benne to the title this season, and the rest of the leagueβs top scorers will be watching from their couches. Justin Baker 2.0 has been a disappointment this seasonβ19.6 PPG just doesn't cut it when you're supposed to be a centerpiece. The league is soft, and Benne is the only one playing with his hair on fire. If you disagree, youβre just part of the problem. Mark my words: Benne finishes the year with the hardware, and the rest of you pretenders are left with nothing but empty box scores.
