📰 Evan Baker Is Carrying The Bullies While Ajani Simmons Is A Bust

September 9, 2026
Let’s be real: the Bullies are currently a social experiment in how much talent you can pack onto a roster and still look completely lost. While everyone obsesses over the stat-stuffers, Evan Baker is the only one playing with a pulse. Averaging 3.8 triples a game—placing him second in the league—Baker is playing a brand of basketball that his teammates simply can't comprehend. Nobody wants to say it, but Evan Baker is a vastly more valuable asset than Ajani Simmons. Simmons gets his 22.3 PPG, but he’s playing empty-calorie basketball for the Lanc Show, a squad that is in serious trouble and everyone knows it. Baker is doing the dirty work while sharing the floor with guys who haven't figured out their roles yet. If the Bullies don’t hand the keys to Evan, they’re just burning another season of championship potential. My prediction? By the end of this month, Evan Baker will be the undisputed scoring leader among non-selfish players, and the Lanc Show will be fighting to stay out of the basement. If Ajani Simmons doesn't start elevating the people around him rather than just padding his own highlight reel, he’s going to be the biggest draft bust in BAL history. This is embarrassing for a guy with his usage rate. Someone on that roster—I’m looking at you, Ajani—needs to step up or step aside. If this ages poorly, fine, but I’d rather be wrong and bold than be a cheerleader for mid-tier mediocrity. The Bullies are a powder keg, and Evan Baker is the only one holding the match.
