π° Eli Washington is a glorified stat-stuffer leading the Dragons to failure
September 13, 2026
Nobody wants to say it, but the Dragons are currently house-sitting the throne for a pretender. Letβs be real: Eli Washington is the most overrated player in the BAL. While the box score highlights his 20.7 PPG and 5.9 APG, you are being sold a bill of goods. If you actually watch the games, Washington is nothing more than a high-volume beneficiary of the Dragons' system, masquerading as an elite floor general while inferior talents like Bradley Atkinson are actually leading the league in assists at 6.0 APG.
This is embarrassing for a player touted as a centerpiece. Washington is hovering in the middle of the pack for scoring, trailing behind the *real* engine of the league like Ty Burtonβs 30.6 PPG or Ethan Benneβs 30.4 PPG. Washington isnβt even the best player on his own roster; Marqel Wansley is clearly the one doing the heavy lifting. Washingtonβs 3.0 3PM/G is fine for a role player, but for someone getting this much hype, itβs pedestrian compared to the elite snipers creating real separation.
The Dragons are in serious trouble and everyone knows itβtheyβre leaning on a player whose stats look great in a vacuum but fold under any real scrutiny. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside, because if they think theyβre going to survive the postseason by relying on Washington to be a superstar, theyβve got another thing coming. You canβt win championships on empty calorie stats forever. The facade is cracking, and itβs only a matter of time before the rest of the league exposes Washington for exactly what he is: a glorified stat-stuffer.
