π° Stop worshiping scoring frauds and crown Crew Wells the true MVP
September 24, 2026
Nobody wants to say it, but the MVP conversation in the BAL has become a joke. While everyone is busy drooling over the high-scoring antics of Ty Burton and Ethan Benne, theyβre ignoring the only player actually dominating the paint: Crew Wells. With a league-leading 11.2 rebounds per game paired with a solid 16.6 PPG, Wells is the heartbeat of the Huskies. He doesnβt need to jack up thirty shots a night to impact winning; he just does the work that everyone else is too soft to handle.
Letβs be real, Jared Kumah had the audacity to think he was the frontrunner for MVP. Heβs putting up 22.3 PPG and 10.6 RPG, but letβs look at the Bullies. This is embarrassing. With those kind of stats, Kumah should be leading a juggernaut, yet the Bullies are consistently stumbling. Kumah is the definition of "empty calories"βheβs stat-padding while his team fails to establish any real dominance. Someone on that roster needs to step up or step aside before the rest of the league laughs them out of the building.
The Bullies are in serious trouble and everyone knows it. Meanwhile, Crew Wells is out there actually controlling the game. If you value winning and discipline over just chasing box score highlights, the choice is obvious. Any "expert" putting a scoring-chaser over a glass-cleaner like Wells clearly hasn't been watching the games. Stop playing favorites with these high-usage frauds and start recognizing the anchor of the league. Crew Wells is your MVP, and quite frankly, it isn't even close.
